The clinic works under the patronage of the “Keren Or for our Child” charitable foundation and provides quotas for free treatment of children’s oncology

Recently, the first branch of the Israeli social and oncological center in Ukraine, Maimonides Medical, was opened in Ivano-Frankivsk. The clinic works under the auspices of the Israeli charitable foundation Keren Or for Our Child. The project of the oncology center is fully implemented and is based on donations and enables patients to receive qualified assistance from doctors from Israel on the territory of Ukraine.

“Our goal is to prevent and prevent the development of oncological diseases. Giving people hope for life is our mission, which we implement every day and we want to convey that cancer is not a sentence,” says the Maimonides Medical oncology center.

What does social mean?

Artur Andonis, the founder of the project and head of all activities of the charity foundation “Keren Or for our child”, says that the system of supporting seriously ill patients with the help of charity funds was tested in the Tel Aviv medical center.

“I have been working in the Israeli health care system at the Tel Aviv Medical Clinic for a long time, and in the course of my work I decided to create a charitable organization within the clinic to help families who are treated for complex diseases – oncology and hematology. Since many children from Ukraine come to us, we decided to open a representative office of the fund in Ukraine as well,” says Artur Andonis.

A branch of the charity fund “Keren Or for our child” became operational in Ukraine in 2021. In the course of the foundation’s work, the idea of ​​a Maimonides medical center was born with full cooperation with Israel, so that Ukrainian children could receive modern qualified care at home, instead of going abroad for it.

The social aspect of the work of the Israeli oncology clinic in Ukraine is that children can receive free treatment here, and adults can receive partially paid treatment.

“We want to provide an opportunity for seriously ill patients to be treated for free thanks to the collections made by the charitable foundation. This is a completely social project and we hope to expand it throughout Ukraine. I really hope and believe that we will be able to help and save many lives, because “saving one life, we save the whole world”, – says Artur Andonis.

The charity “Keren Or for our child” will issue quotas for free treatment – depending on the fund’s capabilities at the time of the patient’s application. To apply for such help, you need to fill out an application on the website of the charity foundation and attach to it all the available documents and the results of the patient’s examinations. After confirmation from the fund that it has the ability to pay for the child’s treatment, a letter of guarantee must be provided to the cancer center.
